The company has now officially confirmed the phone when the phone will launch, and even teased some features and its design.
When will the OnePlus 11 be released?
In December 2022, OnePlus confirmed the OnePlus 11 5G – its official name – will launch at an event in New Delhi, India, on 7 February 2023. There’s no word as to when exactly the phone will go on sale. The phone’s official announcement is roughly in line with what we expected as OnePlus normally launches flagships each Spring, and in fact the OnePlus 10 Pro was revealed as early as January 2022 in China.
How much will the OnePlus 11 cost?
As there’s no confirmation from OnePlus yet about pricing, we’ll use the previous models to put us in the picture. Here’s the pricing of the last few flagships:

If OnePlus only goes with a Pro model for the 11-series, then it will probably be close to the price of the current 10 Pro, otherwise we’ll hope to see something a bit cheaper, along the lines of the OnePlus 10T. This might not quite work out this simply though, as the world-wide chip shortage, plus the disruptions to manufacturing and distribution caused by Covid and the Ukrainian invasion by Russia are all beginning to drive up prices.
What features and specs will we see in the OnePlus 11?
OnePlus has so far released one official image of the OnePlus 11, and that’s the promotional image below for the launch event: It shows a circular camera module with three lenses and a flash. In announcing the OnePlus 11 and the event, OnePlus also confirmed the phone will have an alert slider and Hasselblad branding – two features that were left off the OnePlus 10T in 2022. The Hasselblad branding should mean that the OnePlus 11 is a stronger phone in the camera department than the 10T, which sacrificed camera specs to help drive down price. So far there have been few other concrete leaks about the OnePlus 11 series, but details are beginning to emerge. OnLeaks is the source for our best look at the phone, sharing to Gadget Gang what he claims are official OnePlus renders of the phone in its two colours, Forest Emerald and Volcanic Black: The image reveals a few key details. As now confirmed, the phone includes both the alert slider and Hasselblad branding found on the 10 Pro, but missing from autumn’s 10T. We also see the new camera module, a circular design that still features the wraparound element introduced in the 10 Pro, now in a glossy finish. Three cameras and a flash are included, which should come as no surprise. Prior to that, the same leaker had revealed a set of his own renders based on an “early prototype,” in partnership with SmartPrix, which give us a few more angles on the device. A November 2022 leak from Digital Chat Station claims the OnePlus 11 will be made of ceramic rather than glass or metal. We’ve seen that on phones before such as the Oppo Find X5 Pro and imagined it’d be more common by now. It still allows for wireless charging but gives phones a solid, premium feel and possibly not as prone to smashing everywhere when dropped. OnLeaks has since partnered with another site, 91Mobiles, to share more concrete specs too. The key one is that the phone will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which always seemed to be a safe bet – it’s set to be the next flagship chipset from Qualcomm and will power most high-end Android phones in the first half of 2023. He also predicts the return of the 6.7in 120Hz QHD+ AMOLED display, an increase to up to 16GB of RAM, and a big 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging – curiously slower than the 150W speeds in the OnePlus 10T. That 100W speed has been confirmed by the phone’s listing on the Chinese 3C certification, so seems pretty set. As for camera, OnLeaks predicts that the punch-hole selfie camera will be 16Mp, while the rear three lenses will be made up of a 50Mp main camera, 48Mp ultrawide, and 32Mp 2x telephoto That’s since been corroborated by leaker Digital Chat Station, who’s expanded on that prediction to specify the sensors: a 50Mp Sony IMX890 main camera, 48Mp Sony IMX851 ultrawide, and 32Mp IMX709 2x telephoto. He also added that the exact same setup could be seen in the Oppo Find N2 foldable, though the Find N2 may get the addition of optical image stabilisation (OIS) that might not feature on the OnePlus. We’ll have to wait until February to get our hands on a OnePlus 11 but we’re looking forward to what the next generation may bring.
