These join the Redmi Note 11, 11S, Pro and Pro 5G SKUs to add more choice for consumers, although perhaps some confusion as well – especially when there is already a Pro model with 5G.
Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G
“With the launch of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Xiaomi is pushing the legacy of Redmi Note Series one step further by delivering a performance that exceeds expectations,” said Xiaomi. Much of the spec is the same as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G including the cameras; featuring a 108Mp main sensor and 6.67in 120Hz AMOLED display. However, the Pro+’s headline feature is insanely fast 120W ‘HyperCharge’ charging. Xiaomi says this can get the 4500mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just 15 minutes. We found it to be more like 20 minutes in our full review but that’s still extremely fast, even if Realme and Oppo have teased 150W and 240W charging speeds in forthcoming devices of their own. There’s also a switch from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 to a MediaTek Dimensity 700, which in our benchmarks proved to be more impressive. You can also get the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G in up to 256GB of storage, double the Pro 5G. It still comes with Android 11 rather than the more recent Android 12, and oddly has MIUI 12.5 rather than 13. Xiaomi says the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G will go on sale globally on 6 April from $369 in the following configurations:

Redmi Note 11S 5G
The other new addition to the Redmi Note 11 range is the 11S 5G (above) but the MediaTek Dimensity 810 with integrated 5G isn’t the only change to its 4G counterpart. It retains a large 5000mAh battery with 33W charging but the 90Hz screen is bigger at 6.6in and is not AMOLED, the main camera drops from 108Mp to 50Mp and the 2Mp depth sensor is gone completely. It also maxes out at 6GB of RAM instead of 8GB. Xiaomi has confirmed the Redmi Note 11S 5G will launch globally on 6 April from US$249 in the following models:

Redmi 10 5G
Not satisfied with just those two new phones, Xiaomi also unveiled the Redmi 10 5G (above) as essentially a 5G version of the regular Redmi 10, making it the first regular Redmi handset (i.e. not a Note) to come with 5G. Although it has a different chip to make 5G connectivity possible – in the form of a MediaTek Dimensity 700 – that’s not the only change. The 8Mp ultrawide and 2Mp depth sensor are both gone from the rear camera array. The front camera also drops from 8Mp to 5Mp, but on the plus side it comes with up to 6GB of RAM and the latest software in Android 12 with MIUI 13. The Redmi 10 5G will launch starting from US$199.
